Born a rib light
Half heart with jagged edges
Spark bright & fuelless
Sharp peaks, heavy crevices

Piece by piece
Started fitting what I knew
Into jigsaw beliefs
Then, law was tongue and groove

Spent all my bumbling youth
Longing for love and truth
Found two sound routes
A strong woman and honest music

I had tons of proof growing up
That there was merit
What with a musical fam
And outstanding parents

I share this contrast
And juxtaposition
To the world of "catch.
